What this site collects, why, and how to opt out.
The Journal by email
When you subscribe, the site stores your email address, the page you subscribed from and when you signed up. They are used only to send you a welcome email and the Journal's weekly digest every Monday — never sold, and never shared for anyone else's marketing.
The list is kept, and the emails are sent, by Rasket, an email service acting on the site's behalf.
Every digest has a one-click unsubscribe link and a link to your email preferences. You can also reply to any Journal email, or write to sambaghramian@gmail.com, to unsubscribe or to have your address deleted.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure how fast pages load. They set no cookies and don't identify individual visitors.
Server logs and spam protection
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps short-lived request logs that include IP addresses. To stop automated sign-ups, the subscribe form also holds IP addresses briefly in memory to limit repeated attempts; they are not stored.
Sharing
The share links on Journal stories are plain links: no third-party scripts load on this site. Once you follow one, you are on that service, under its own privacy policy.
